General Questions

Hi there! Have some questions about me? Find the answers below.

  • Your First encounter with music and schooling?

My first encounter with classical music was when I was 9 years old. I first started alone, then through private piano lessons and later at the music school in Split.

In Croatia, music is often studied and something else, so I studied pharmacy in parallel. After graduating from high school in Split - majoring in solo singing and music theory, I decided to continue my education in Vienna: the study of solo singing and conducting, which I graduated three years ago.

  • How did you start conducting?

The first contact with conducting took place in the local church in my hometown where I played the organ and later started leading the choir. I believe that this is where the love for conducting was born. I found an easy way to express my musicality and creativity. First understand the idea of the composer himself, and then transfer that same idea to others and simply create music.

  • What music means to you?

It may sound like a cliché, but music is a universal language. Not only in the sense that it is omnipresent, simple, or clear to everyone, but in the context of emotions. We live in an emotionally driven material world. Each of our actions is driven by our emotional state. Everyone can find themselves in music, feel that something. Music can cheer us up, make us sad, motivate us ... There is a wide range of emotions that music can provoke. Music is a very powerful tool - a medium for conveying the message of composers, soloists, musicians in general and can immediately affect the listener.  As a conductor I have powerful tools in my hands, but also the responsibility of conveying the message of music.

  • What is your experience so far?

I have had the opportunity to collaborate with many orchestras, choirs, and soloists in Europe, especially in Vienna where I have studied and where I currently live. I am especially grateful for the opportunity to learn the interpretation and tradition of Viennese classical music, but also of all musical periods. Not only to conduct but also to listen to great musicians. In addition to conducting, I have an affinity for the organization and production of concerts. Accordingly, I founded The New Symphony

Vienna to affirm young musicians as an opportunity to gain experience and work. We have achieved many successful concerts in all major concert halls in Vienna such as the Musikverein and the Konzerthaus.

  • What is your life motto?

My life philosophy or motto: "Everything is a vibration". In physics, each object has its own frequency - vibration. I believe that man is primarily a spiritual being, and this fact is supported by our emotions. Each emotion has its own frequency. If we are aware of these emotions and vibrations that we spread around us, we can do wonderful things and achieve better results. As a conductor who is aware of what he is doing and what he wants, the experience of music can be raised to an higher level - not only for the audience but also through working with musicians in the orchestra.

My Vision

I envision my role as a conductor to be centered around facilitating a transformative experience, where orchestras and audiences come together in perfect harmony, allowing the enchanting vibrations of music to resonate within each individual. The belief that surrounds me is rooted in the recognition of vibrations that permeate everything around us, establishing a profound link between music and the human spirit.

At the heart of this vision lies an understanding that we, as spiritual beings, inhabit physical bodies, driven by the depths of our emotions. Music, in its universal language, surpasses barriers, speaking directly to the innermost parts of our souls. My aspiration is to harness this power and create a collective experience wherein orchestras and audiences meld into one, connected by the energy and emotive qualities of the music.

Through my conducting, I strive to unlock the transformative potential inherent in music, skillfully tapping into the vibrations that envelop us. Viewing myself as a conduit, I channel the energy and emotions of the composition into a shared experience, one that resonates with the hearts and minds of all present.

Fostering a profound connection between musicians and the audience is my belief, engendering a symbiotic relationship where the vibrations of the music flow freely and effortlessly. By nurturing an environment characterized by unity and openness, I invite the audience to actively participate, surrendering themselves to the captivating power of the music and allowing it to reverberate within their very beings.

Embracing the spiritual essence of music, my aim is to dismantle the barriers that divide us, cultivating a sense of interconnectedness and understanding. I strive to create performances that not only entertain, but also uplift, inspire, and heal, leaving an indelible mark on the souls of those fortunate enough to partake in the experience.

With unwavering dedication, I endeavor to establish a realm where music becomes a catalyst for transformation, transcending the limitations of language, culture, and individual differences. By unifying orchestras and audiences into a singular entity, I envision a world where the vibrations of music harmonize the human experience, fostering unity, empathy, and an abiding sense of connection.

In this vision, my mission is to reach the depths of the human spirit, reminding us of our shared humanity and the tremendous power of music to elevate our souls.
